The Skunk Kush Regular cannabis seeds consist of 60% indica and 40% sativa. As the name suggests, it is a hybrid between Hindu Kush (with pure Afghani genes) and Skunk #1. The combination produces plants that are vigorous and productive and have a special skunk-like smell and taste.
It is a regular variant of the variety. This means that the cannabis seeds produce male and female plants. This is an advantage for more experienced growers who want to develop their own hybrids. And also useful for those who need their own seeds. The initial yields are slightly lower due to the presence of male plants.
As a regular strain, Skunk Kush Regular requires a temperate or continental climate to reach its full potential. The variety has a short flowering period of approximately 50 to 60 days (indoors and outdoors). The buds can be harvested outdoors in late September/early October. The flower arrangement is impressive and can only be described as towering.
The Skunk Kush Regular is not one of the largest cannabis strains on the market. The plants grow moderately (usually a maximum of 1.50 m, regardless of cultivation indoors or outdoors). This is useful when using grow tents or in locations with restricted height.
The Skunk Kush Regular takes on the shape of a candelabra as it grows. The slight indica dominance means the leaves are usually dark green and leathery and the branches are sturdy and strong. It also offers exceptionally bountiful yields and the buds are usually covered in white trichomes.
The Afghani heritage is immediately apparent as the buds develop; with bubble-like calyxes that produce dense, semi-open buds with a large weight. They have a large surface area that ensures rich resin production. Some of the trichomes develop heads that are so bulbous that you can see them growing and changing color in later stages of growth.
When plants are left to their own devices, the central bud occupies approximately half of the main stem, or around 75% of the more open female plants.
The Skunk Kush Regular thrives in a warmer, Mediterranean climate. In these sunny, temperate conditions she can produce incredibly large yields without molding. Lollipopping and supercropping are methods that ensure good results with this variety.
Effects, taste and smell of Skunk Kush Regular
The Skunk Kush Regular is slightly indica dominant. This is evident in the resulting high; a deep, intense state of intoxication that affects the mind and body. The sativa influence sometimes triggers uncontrollable laughter, while the indica provides a feeling of deep relaxation. Warning: This strain is very strong and therefore only suitable for experienced cannabis consumers.
As they grow, the plants produce a musky, skunk smell. The dark, resinous Afghani smell is optimized with a fresh citrus touch. Shortly before harvest, the fruity aroma comes through more strongly, with lemon and menthol notes in the foreground. These aromas can also be felt in the taste, making consumption a refreshing, revitalizing experience.
