Purple Thai - feminized seeds
The Purple Thai comes from Thailand and is one of the oldest native breeds. In its area of origin it grows up to 4 m high, has slender leaves and long conical flowers with very long hairs. One phenotype has a purple tinge to the leaves and flowers, the other phenotype gets dark green leaves covered in trichomes. In Thailand, the hours of sunshine do not vary much between summer and winter, so that in this region two harvests per year are sometimes possible. However, the extremely heavy monsoon rains often penetrate this, so these pure sativas are mainly grown in summer.
Purple Thai is a powerful strain with strong sativa effects. The high is a strong psychedelic rush of happiness. This landrace pays off with a very introspective headache. She will satisfy those who like marijuana for its mind-opening properties. It is ideal for meditation, yoga or any creative moment.
Purple Thai's dark buds have an amazingly exotic, fruity, berry-like aroma and taste. The average THC content was measured at 24%. By selecting the strongest Thai mother plant of all and using various specialized breeding methods, Anesia was able to stabilize this high THC level.
Growing Purple Thai
Purple Thai has a flowering time of 11-13 weeks and can be harvested in late October/early November when grown outdoors. Therefore, outdoor cultivation in Northern Europe is only recommended in greenhouses so that the autumn storms and lower temperatures cannot harm the plants. The flowering phase should be initiated after 3-4 weeks of vegetative growth. Purple Thai grows well in SCROG and SOG, although growing in an umbrella system provides enough space for the plants to develop fully. This strain can be grown both hydroponically and in soil. If Purple Thai is left at lower temperatures toward the end of the growing cycle, the colors often begin to become much more purple, sometimes even blue.
Mature plants grow up to 80-90 cm indoors, are full of heavy buds with a dark purple color and orange hairs. When grown indoors, growers can expect a yield of more than 500g per square meter. When grown outdoors, yields of up to 1 kg per plant are achieved, depending on specific conditions such as temperature and soil type.
