Its name comes from its Catalan hometown, where the Kannabia Seed Company gave birth to it, and the blue color that its flower buds take on towards the end of summer when it is exposed to lower temperatures.
It is a cross between the Black Domina with Blue Monster and a pure Afghan, Mazar-i-Sharif, from the north of the country (the one that produces the legendary Milk of Mazar). The first provides the constant, intricate structure, the second ensures the very high yield and the bluish hue and the third provides the unmistakable resin, the purest caramel. In addition, special properties of Mataró Blue itself must be mentioned that none of our other feminized seeds have.
All together makes for an above-average potent blend (23% THC is not for beginners), with a strong kaleidoscopic aroma (orange, wild berries, sandalwood) and a feeling of exuberant happiness and joy Excitement.
Cultivation of the Mataró Blue
After the growth phase, we can see that the Mataró Blue tends to form flower buds in vertical flower clusters, with strong cuttings suitable for cloning. It is a marijuana seed that produces robust and resistant plants that are not prone to nutritional problems (you can enhance the taste with carbohydrates and use fertilizers without hesitation) or undesirable health problems.
The seed thrives particularly well outdoors (which is why it won the Axarquía cannabis cup [Copa Cannábica de la Axarquía]), where it easily reaches a height of two meters. The plant's leaves are huge and dark, forming bushes that really take up space, forming a central cluster of flowers. This expansion may necessitate the use of supports or a SCROG net to secure the plant once the weight of the flower clusters comes into its own. The plant is also suitable for indoor cultivation, although we recommend using a strong light source.
The flowering phase lasts 58 - 62 days and under optimal conditions 800 g per plant is produced. Indoors, we can achieve 600 g per square meter with plants around 50 cm high. Before harvest at the beginning of September, it gives off an intense and penetrating smell.

Due to the high THC content, you have to be prepared for this effect. If you prefer something weaker, then you should look for other marijuana seeds.
