Growth Patterns of Durban Feminized

The parent strain, Durban Poison, is one of the world's most well-known cannabis strains that we wanted to make available. These seeds, developed only from specific plants in the established Durban gene pool, ensure that the strain's heritage remains intact.
The plants are slightly smaller than other Durban varieties. They also require less time to bloom and produce denser clusters of flowers during the flowering phase. The plant develops a strong main trunk during the growing season, flanked by strong temporal branches. When flowering begins, the calyxes grow on the nodes, spreading upward and filling the space on the branches and main stem. The short pistils are often pink or yellow at first and become darker as the plants continue to grow.
The Durban Feminized is a good option for beginners as it forgives the most common mistakes. Their resilience and reliability ensure generous yields, even in colder climates.
The plants grow constantly. By shortening the growing season and/or pruning the plants, their height can be limited to just 1.50 m if necessary. This approach makes the variety ideal for smaller gardens or balconies. Growers who want to reach the maximum height possible should start the seeds indoors at the beginning of spring, then - when there is definitely no more frost - move them outside and leave them trim or cut back. This results in plants that are approximately 1 meter taller.
The height of the Durban Feminized means that it benefits from procedures such as trimming or supercropping. For compact plants, the Sea of Green (SOG) or Screen of Green (SCROG) methods can be used instead. The thicker side branches mean that lollipopping is usually not an advantage.
