Jamaican Pearl was born as part of a breeding program that focused on tropical sativas. We crossed dozens of cannabis strains to create a Jamaica grass that grows in northern climates and could even finish its flowering phase during a rainy Dutch summer. Jamaican Pearl is a cross between Marley's Collie and Early Pearl with a sativa content of 85%.
Growth Patterns of Jamaican Pearl Feminized
Plants that are sown early reach a height of up to 3 m outdoors. Flowering usually lasts from August to the end of September. At latitudes around 50°, plants benefit from an additional month of flowering. The large, shaggy and fast-growing flowers make Jamaican Pearl Feminized one of our most reliable and high-yielding outdoor strains.
Of course, these hemp seeds also thrive under artificial light. A short vegetative phase is followed by nine to eleven weeks of flowering. This cannabis strain develops a little bushier than most indoor strains. If the ceiling of the grow room is not high enough, a screen of green (SCROG) is recommended, in which the plants are attached to a grid. Supercropping and lollipopping are also suitable for this variety.
Most marijuana strains from Jamaica are tropical sativas. However, a small part of their gene pool is determined by Indica strains that came to the Caribbean islands from the Indian subcontinent. The shorter and wider growth behavior of Jamaican Pearl Feminized and the special flower structure are examples of the indica influence.
